Tariff alone is not enough to compare hosting sites. Electricity matters, but fleet performance also depends on power availability, operating discipline, cooling, staff response and contract terms. Start with the technical compatibility of the actual ASIC models and fleet size.
Power architecture and available capacity
Request a single-line diagram or a clear description of the source, voltage level, transformation and redundancy. Confirm the capacity available for connection, how losses and auxiliary consumption are measured, and what happens during grid restrictions.
Cooling and climate
Cooling must match device heat load and manufacturer limits. Verify temperatures, airflow, filtration, protection from precipitation and dust, and—for hydro systems—loop parameters, leak control and maintenance procedures.
Monitoring, security and service
Agree what the client can monitor, how incidents are recorded and who authorizes a restart or removal. Check physical security, CCTV, access control, serial-number inventory, on-site technical staff and repair workflow.
Tariff, SLA and liability
The commercial offer should define the rate, metering, additional charges, connection schedule and amendment rules. A target uptime is meaningful only with a calculation method, exclusions, response times and responsibility written into the contract.
